Sean Lucq has over six years of experience in retained search and has been involved in more than 60 successful executive search projects. Having joined Schweichler as an Analyst in September 2000, just prior to the Internet collapse, he was a significant contributor in reshaping the firm’s research methodology–a key point of differentiation that enabled the firm to enjoy record growth and profitability during the technology recession of 2001–2004. After perfecting the fundamentals of research, Sean evolved into one of the firm’s top performing Senior Associates, driving candidate development for venture-backed, high profile CEO and VP level searches in technology.
Often an initial point of contact with potential candidates, Sean’s focus on professionalism and thoroughness in representing opportunities, combined with a conviction that every conversation should result in a new relationship, has elevated the firm’s visibility and reputation within the candidate community. As a result, Schweichler Price & Partners has become a household name in Silicon Valley and is known for representing some of the highest quality opportunities in technology today.
Sean has extensive experience in a variety of areas including CEO, General Management, Marketing, Sales, Business Development, Engineering, and Operations. He has played a critical role in the successful and timely completion of over 63 searches in a range of industries, including Enterprise Infrastructure, Consumer Electronics, Computing/Networking, Internet, Wireless/Mobility, Software, Semiconductor, and CleanTech. Many of these clients have subsequently been acquired in significant transactions, including PolyServe (HP), Neven Vision (Google), McDATA (Brocade), Topspin (Cisco), PathScale (QLogic), Topio (NetApp), Airespace (Cisco), Laurel Networks (ECI Telecom), and Port Authority Technologies (Websense).
A native of Marin County, Sean graduated with honors from the University of California Davis, where he completed the pre-med program and earned a B.S. in Biological Sciences and a Minor in Managerial Economics.
